Pamela Ohab, CPA – Owner and Presidentpam-profile

Pamela Ohab is the owner and president of Ohab and Company. She is responsible for the company’s operations and a team of 6 staff members. With nearly 30 years of industry experience, Pamela brings her extensive knowledge of the broker dealer audit process, regulatory issues, financial statements and planning to each of her clients. Together with her team, she ensures that all of Ohab’s clients receive the highest quality service at an affordable price. Her persistence and dedication to our clients is evidenced by the firm’s excellent reputation and the referral rate of new clients. Pamela previously served as the Audit Manager at a major CPA firm and prior to that she held various audit and staff accountant roles.

Pam earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Economics from the University of Baltimore, took graduate courses from American University in Economics and Mathematics and has completed post baccalaureate work at the University of Central Florida and Rollins College in accounting. In addition, she is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and is a Financial operations Principal (Series 27). In her spare time, Pam is the president of the non-profit Ryan Foundation and the Board Treasurer at the non-profit PACE Brantley School.

Pam is also part of the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants Accounting Principles and Auditing Standards Committee.

Pam is a member of the NY Stock Brokerage Committee.

Patrick Heyn, CPA

Patrick has 25+ years’ experience in public accounting, formerly a partner in the audit and accounting department of a leading accounting and advisory firm in South Florida where he was responsible for quality and technical accuracy of all audit services.

Patrick is an authority on SEC rules and regulations as well as GAAP. His expertise stems from his completion of hundreds of audits for publicly and privately held companies. He also performs AICPA peer reviews.

In addition, Patrick serves on the FICPA Accounting Principles and Auditing Standards committee.

Patrick obtained his Bachelor in Business Administration degree in Accounting from Columbus State University and his Masters in Professional Accountancy from Georgia State University.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Patrick is a certified as a CPA in both Florida and Georgia.

Bruce Nearon, CPA

As a former National Director at a CohnReznick LLP, Bruce has extensive experience in auditing including developing audit programs and supervision and review for large and small audits, both public and private. He is former Chair of the New York Society of CPA’s and a member of the Society’s Auditing Standards board and procedures committee. He currently is a member of the New York Stockbridge committee and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants Accounting Principles and Auditing Standards Committee. Bruce earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and a Master of Accountancy from the University of Florida. He received the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants Elijah Watt Sells Award for performance with high distinction on the May 1989 exam.

Charlotte Miller – Write-up Manager and Quickbooks Consultant

With over 30 years of experience in the business world, Charlotte is well versed in all aspects of accounting and small business services. She has been with the firm for over 17 years and is the write-up manager and QuickBooks consultant. She also prepares payrolls, payroll taxes, sales tax and assists clients with the necessary steps to business start-up and incorporation.

Her expertise stems from both formal training and experience. A degree from Seminole State College and select courses from the University of Central Florida along with numerous continuing education courses provided Charlotte with a solid foundation. In addition, she has owned her own business and holds a real estate license. Charlotte enjoys being able to personally relate to the firm’s clients as she has experienced many of the same issues they now face. Her can-do attitude and willingness to offer specialized services to meet the unique needs of each client makes her the perfect asset to the Ohab team.

Patricia Young – Staff Accountant

Patricia brings over 15 years of experience to the Ohab team. As a Staff Accountant, she works with our small business clients on a variety of projects including bookkeeping, annual write-ups and creating financial statements. Patricia has a wealth of knowledge related to payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections, payroll taxes, Quickbooks and much more.

Patricia attended Seminole State College and studied business and is a graduate of the College of Virgin Islands.

Paulette Crisano – Tax Manager and CPA

Paulette brings with her over 30 years of experience in accounting and finances. Our clients benefit from her extensive knowledge of tax issues, tax return preparation and planning along with her hands-on experience as a business owner herself. As our tax manager, she works with individuals on their tax returns and can always be counted on for the latest information regarding new laws and regulations.

Paulette’s training includes a Bachelor of Arts from the State University of New York at Buffalo and CPA coursework a Pace University. She is also a CPA. When she isn’t focused on helping clients with their tax issues, she volunteers at her local library and is a Master Gardener.

John D Pantuso – Senior Accountantjohn

John is a senior accountant at Ohab and Company with more than 40 years of experience in business and accounting. His expertise includes Controller and Financial management experience in the health care, manufacturing, legal and governmental industries.

Prior to joining the firm his wealth of experience included accounting system conversions, financial preparation and analysis along with strategic planning and cash flow forecasting as well as recruiting and training staff for a multitude of private businesses.

As a senior financial analyst with local government he planned, developed and coordinated budgets and fiscal resources. Along with designing and implementing methods to track and audit fiscal activity and policies and procedures, he is well versed in accounting analysis and revenue management.

John earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the City University of New York. His is a member of the Orlando chapter of FENG, Finance Executive Network Group.

He is also active and lends his skills and expertise to community and non-profit organizations.

Mary Smith, Senior Accountmary-profile

Mary joined the Ohab team of accountants in 2015 and comes to us with a wide range of experience in the Industry as well as Public Accounting. Mary graduated from The University of North Alabama with a BBA in Accounting which included graduate level coursework in Avanced Tax and Advanced Cost accounting while always maintaining a 4.0 GPA in accounting. She continued her education in obtaining certificates in Advanced Excel and Master Payroll. She also completed additional studies in the management of fraud prevention using internal code procedures.

Since joining our firm Mary has also become a certified QuickBooks Pro advisor.

Mary enjoys being able to use her skills and varied experience in assisting clients with their goals and facilitating their continued business success. She is experienced in business startups as well as a master at problem solving and sreamlining accounting issues in long term business.

Sheryl Kisling – Office Manager

Sheryl has been with the firm for over 16 years. Her many duties include managing the assembly of tax returns, managing the front desk, scheduling appointments, file management, invoicing and billing. In addition, she often assists with a variety of projects and keeps the wheels of the firm running smoothly.

Sheryl has past experience with a charitable foundation and construction project management. Her formal training includes attending Seminole State College with a specialty in business. In addition, her continuing education includes various Microsoft Office courses and Creative Solutions Accounting. When you call or visit Ohab, Sheri is often our clients’ first contact with the firm. Her friendly, efficient manner and cheerful attitude is a huge asset to our team.
